Kate Florio is Chief Operating Officer for JSP. Ms. Florio provides direction for JSP’s business operations as well as project management for several large, multi-site initiatives. Over the past 17 years, she has honed her skills in organizational assessment and change management, performance measurement, grant administration, and financial analysis. Ms. Florio brings experience working with a diverse group of public safety stakeholders, a deep understanding of criminal and juvenile justice issues, and strong project management, analytic and communication skills.
Ms. Florio draws from the knowledge gained throughout her career to facilitate planning processes with a focus on quality and results. Prior to joining JSP, Ms. Florio was Director of Administration and Operations for the Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) where she delivered technical assistance and oversaw more than thirty grants and contracts annually. Ms. Florio worked on a variety of projects at CJI, including the development of the now widely used Integrated Model for Evidence Based Practices with the National Institute of Corrections and the webinar series for the Box Set entitled Using Science in Criminal Justice to Achieve Better Results. Ms. Florio received a MBA from Suffolk University, and a B.S. in Sociology from Bridgewater State College. She is also a Certified Facilitator, and holds a Certificate in Health and Human Services Management.
