Billie Grobe has worked in the probation field in Arizona for over 32 years, starting as a field officer in Maricopa County and retiring in 2014 as Chief Probation Officer for Yavapai County Adult Probation. She has over 36 years of experience with urban and rural probation departments, as a practitioner and as a consultant. As Chief, she was responsible for operating a department of 96 employees, including field services, pre-trial services, pre-sentence investigations, and other court-related special programs. Her department provided supervision for approximately 1,800 probationers in Yavapai County. She is a past President of the Arizona Chief Probation Officers Association (ACPOA), and past Region 14 Representative to the American Probation and Parole Association (APPA).
Ms. Grobe is active in her community, having served as a board member of the Yavapai Reentry Project; the Community Counts Board of Directors; and the Executive Board of the Yavapai County Substance Abuse Coalition, MATFORCE. She is a past Vice-President and Executive Board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Yavapai County. Ms. Grobe was appointed to the Yavapai County Merit Commission by the Board of Supervisors for a four-year term in 2017. Currently, Ms. Grobe is a consultant on criminal justice, probation and pretrial services for Justice System Partners.
